Embedded world 2026: where robotics meets embedded intelligence

At the beginning of March, Maxwell Robotics visited embedded world Exhibition & Conference in Nuremberg, one of the key events for the embedded and edge-tech community.

Where the building blocks are coming together

Embedded computing, edge AI, sensing, manipulation, and robotics hardware are converging faster than we expected walking in.

Across the exhibition, we saw many of the technologies that are shaping the next generation of robotic systems:

  • Edge AI and embedded compute platforms
  • Sensor and perception technologies
  • Robotic hands, actuators, and motion hardware
  • Integration-ready subsystems for robotics and automation

What made it especially interesting was not just the hardware itself, but how accessible and integration-ready many of these systems are becoming.

Why this matters

Maxwell Robotics sits at exactly that intersection of hardware, software, and system integration, so a good share of what we saw on the floor maps directly onto the client work we do every day.

Events like embedded world are valuable because they show where the ecosystem is moving: toward more capable components, faster integration, and more opportunities to build useful robotic applications on top of them.

Good conversations, strong signals

Beyond the technology itself, the event was a great opportunity to have conversations, discover new suppliers and platforms, and exchange ideas with people working across embedded systems, AI, and robotics.

We left with a lot of interesting impressions, and plenty of ideas to follow up on.
