Custom Biomedical Experiment Automation System
For a biomedical startup, we designed and built a purpose-built machine for the automated handling and execution of vial-based experiments. The system delivers highly repeatable physical excitation through controlled shaking and bouncing sequences, while a custom computer vision pipeline provides deterministic, objective evaluation of results.

Scope of Work
- Full custom experimental machine design
- Mechanical design for vial handling
- Controlled actuation for motion patterns
- Computer vision for result evaluation
- End-to-end workflow engineering
Key Features Delivered
- Purpose-built biomedical automation machine
- Repeatable vial excitation via motion profiles
- Deterministic vision-based evaluation pipeline
- Fully integrated hardware & software system
- Delivered under strict confidentiality constraints
Outcome
No off-the-shelf machine existed for this workflow, so we built one from the ground up: custom mechatronics for repeatable vial handling, paired with a vision pipeline that replaces subjective judgment calls with deterministic, measurable results, all delivered under the client's confidentiality requirements.
