How Maxwell Robotics GmbH collects, stores, uses, and shares personal data submitted through this site.
With this Privacy Policy, Maxwell Robotics GmbH (hereinafter “Maxwell Robotics” or “we”) informs you, in accordance with Art. 13 GDPR, which personal data we process when you visit this website and use its features, for what purposes and on what legal basis we do so, to whom data may be disclosed, how long it is stored, and what rights you have.

Liability for Content
We are responsible for our own content on these pages under general law. We prepare this content with the greatest possible care but give no guarantee that it is accurate, complete or up to date. If you notice an error or an infringement, please let us know; once we become aware of it, we will promptly review the content in question and correct or remove it where necessary.
Liability for Links
Our pages contain links to external websites operated by third parties, over whose content we have no influence. The respective provider or operator of a linked page is always responsible for its content; we do not adopt that content as our own. If we become aware of an infringement on a linked page, we will remove the link in question promptly.
3. Types of Data Collected
This site processes personal data in the following cases, each described in more detail below: through the contact form (on the homepage and the solution pages), when a visitor voluntarily fills it in and submits it; through one functional cookie that remembers your language (see “Your language setting”); through reach measurement with Umami (see “Website analytics”); through the technical access data our hosting provider Vercel processes whenever a page is requested (see “Hosting and server logs”); and through performance measurement with Vercel Speed Insights (see “Performance measurement”). This site runs no advertising, marketing, or cross-site tracking scripts.
If you use the optional "I'd also like to book a call" option in the contact form, we additionally collect your requested meeting date, time, and duration, which is checked against calendar availability. If a meeting is confirmed (either directly, or after a reviewer proposes a different time and you accept it), your email address is used to send you a calendar invitation containing a Google Meet video-call link.
Should this change in future (for example, if cookie-based analytics or marketing tracking is added), this policy will be updated in advance, and, where required by law (§ 25 TDDDG, Art. 6/7 GDPR), your consent will be obtained before any such technology is activated.

Your language setting
This site shows the English version by default. Nothing about your device, network, or location (such as your browser's language setting) is used to determine a language for you automatically. The language is stored in a cookie named “NEXT_LOCALE”, which contains nothing but the language code (“de” or “en”). This cookie is set in two cases: when you change the language using the language switcher in the header, and when you open a German-language page (addresses beginning with “/de”) directly, for example via a shared link or a search result, while no such cookie exists yet. It ensures that the site keeps showing you that language as you navigate and on later visits. The cookie is valid for 1 year; each time you change the language, it is renewed for another year. The cookie is read only by this website and is not shared with any third party. Storing and reading this cookie is based on § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG, as it is strictly necessary to provide the language version you have expressly requested; the associated processing is based on our legitimate interest in a user-friendly, multilingual website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Website analytics
This site uses Umami (Umami Software, Inc.), a privacy-focused analytics service, to measure the reach and overall usage of the site, for example which pages are viewed, which site referred you, and general device, browser, and country-level information. When a page loads, a script sends the page address to Umami, always without any URL parameters (query string). In the process, your IP address and your browser identifier (user agent) are processed briefly: your IP address is used to derive a coarse, country-level location, and both are used to compute a hashed, pseudonymous visitor value that lets page views be grouped together without identifying you. Your IP address itself is not stored. Umami does not set cookies, stores no information on your device, and does not track you across other websites; we only see aggregated statistics. Data is processed on Umami's EU (Germany) infrastructure. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in measuring the reach of our website in order to design and improve it according to demand (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can object to this processing at any time (see “7. The Rights of Users”).
Hosting and server logs
This website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (440 N Barranca Avenue #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA). Whenever you open a page, your browser automatically transmits technical data that Vercel processes in order to deliver the page and protect the service against abuse: your IP address, location information derived from it, the date and time of the request, the page requested, and browser and system configuration information. This processing is necessary to provide the website and is based on our legitimate interest in a secure and reliable website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Performance measurement
We use Vercel Speed Insights to measure how quickly our pages load and respond (so-called Web Vitals). When a page loads, a script reads these performance values from your browser and sends them to Vercel together with the page address, a network speed category (e.g. “4g”), browser, device type, operating system, and a country code. According to Vercel, these data points are recorded anonymously: no cookies are set, no IP address is stored with them, and they cannot be used to reconstruct your visit across pages or to identify you. We only look at the results in aggregated form, to find and fix slow pages; the legal basis is our legitimate interest in a fast, functioning website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
4. Mode and Place of Processing the Data
The Owner takes appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, or unauthorized destruction of the data. Data submitted via the contact form is used solely to respond to the inquiry.
Legal basis
Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (necessary for inquiries relating to a prospective contract) and/or, where Art. 6(1)(b) does not apply, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to your inquiry and maintaining business communication).
Retention time
If your inquiry leads to a business relationship, contact-form data is retained for the duration of that relationship plus any applicable statutory retention period under German commercial/tax law (e.g. § 257 HGB / § 147 AO, typically 6 or 10 years). If it does not lead to a business relationship, the data is deleted within 90 days of the inquiry being fully handled. Calendar entries created for a requested meeting (including any associated Google Meet link) are kept only as long as needed for that purpose and are deleted once the meeting has taken place or the request did not lead to a confirmed meeting.
5. The Purposes of Processing
The data is collected to respond to the user's inquiry, to comply with legal obligations, and to protect the Owner's legitimate business interests.
6. Recipients
Data may be shared with IT/hosting service providers acting as processors under Art. 28 GDPR, strictly as needed to operate the site and email systems.
Every contact-form submission is sent as an email through Resend (Resend, Inc.), a US-based transactional email service, which processes the submission solely to deliver it to the company. Resend acts as a processor for this purpose under Art. 28 GDPR.
If you use the optional meeting-scheduling feature, your full name, email address, organization (if provided), type of inquiry (if provided), your message, and your requested meeting date, time, and duration are also shared with Google (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC), which provides the Google Calendar API used to check availability and create the calendar event, and Google Meet, used to generate the video-call link for a confirmed meeting. Google acts as a processor for this purpose under Art. 28 GDPR.
The technical access data generated when you visit the site (see “Hosting and server logs” and “Performance measurement” above) is processed by our hosting provider, Vercel Inc., which acts as a processor under Art. 28 GDPR on the basis of its data processing addendum.

8. International Data Transfers
Every contact-form submission is processed by Resend, Inc., a US-based transactional email service, which may involve transferring data outside the EU/EEA. Resend's data processing terms provide for the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46 GDPR) as a safeguard for any such transfer.
Where you use the optional meeting-scheduling feature, your full name, email address, organization (if provided), type of inquiry (if provided), your message, and your requested meeting date, time, and duration are processed by Google, which may involve transferring data outside the EU/EEA. Google's data processing terms provide for the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46 GDPR) as a safeguard for any such transfer.
This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., a US-based company, so the technical access data described above may be processed outside the EU/EEA, including in the USA. Vercel is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, for which the European Commission has adopted an adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR); Vercel's data processing addendum additionally provides for the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46 GDPR) as a safeguard.

The Owner reserves the right to update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “last updated” date on this page.
